Today was the 1 year photo session for Miss Sienna. I had the awesome pleasure of photographing Mom Tania and Dad Justin’s stunning Rockwater Secret Cove wedding a few years ago and one of the images of Tania actually graced the cover of aislewalk.

We hit their family farm for Tania’s unique maternity shoot and the studio when Sienna made her appearance a year ago.

Today we found a secluded little field and captured the family in all it’s glory….1 year in the making

I had the opportunity to photograph mom and dad several months ago and waited with excitement to be able to meet their newest edition. Well, baby Max made his appearance on Easter weekend so we quickly coordinated schedules and met up at the studio for the first of Max’s photoshoots.

You will probably remember Remy’s crazy awesome parents… they were the ones willing to brave the snow for their killer maternity shoot this January. Their wonderful little boy arrived a few weeks ago and today was his first pro photoshoot. Like his parents, this little guy was spirited and up for anything! What a perfect little family!!!

This past weekend was the first wedding of the season for associate photographer Gabrielle. Once again, the weather was being less than cooperative but with the wedding being held at the amazing swaneset bay, there was going to be more than enough stunning photo opportunities.

I have to say that I am a little more than jealous of Courtney’s picture perfect red hair and flawless skin…..ok…a lot more than a little bit jealous!

Congrats Courtney and Bryce on what looked like an amazing day!

brittney and riley ~ spring showers

Brittney and Riley’s swaneset wedding marked my first local wedding of the season. It also marked my first rainy westcoast wedding of the season.

Brittney and Riley were both such troopers..cause man was it cold and rainy but these two stuck it out and we managed to grab some amazing images before heading in for some wonderful food and a heated ballroom! I have never seen swaneset look so beautiful and it really was an great way to kick off the season!

C and A Adventures in Mexico

I am writing this as I sit by the pool under the hot Mexican Sun the day after the the amazing wedding of Angelique and Corey. I will have much more to say about these amazing people when I do the next post featuring the day after session but since there are some in the party leaving today, I wanted to ensure that everyone had something to see before they left. Jackie is amazing! She first contacted me a few months ago to discuss some maternity shots. She really wanted them to be something different so we decided on winter shots. Now all we needed was some snow, a clear day and for it all to happen before I left on Jan 21st….not asking for much! Well… today it all aligned and so we headed out to the fields near Swaneset for our cold session.

All I can say is that Jackie and Phil are troopers cause MAN WAS IT COLD! I was fully clothed and freezing so how these two managed to smile through it all is amazing to me! It does however go to prove no pain no gain because the shots we got are some of my fav yet. Thanks you two for being so awesome and can’t wait to capture the little one when it arrives!

Yesterday Heather and Jake dropped by the studio to introduce me to baby Maggie. She was a superstar…posing like a pro and keeping us entertained. Congrats you two on a gorgeous daughter and I can’t wait to see as she grows!

caroline calvert – elegant adornments

We have been discussing a photoshoot for Caroline’s pretty offerings for months but with wedding season in full swing, it proved impossible to co ordinate schedules. A few weeks ago, we finally came up with a date and yesterday we met up at the studio with the amazing Jayna Marie on hand for hair and makeup, we captured the new line.

Never being one to pass up an opportunity, I forced Jayna behind the lens at the end of the shoot to capture her on a quick impromptu shoot and then we traded spaces so that Jayna could grab a shot of me with the new red hair.

It was a great shoot and make sure you head to Frocks in Vancouver to see all of Caroline’s gorgeous adornments.

I shot Drew and Shelley’s wedding a few years ago and have gotten to work with them a few times since on a couple of shoots for 95.3. They are always a blast to hang out with so I was excited to get to spend some time with them this afternoon to capture the first pro shots of their gorgeous daughter Marlo. We were able to snap some quick family shots as well including the diva herself…Lola.

It was great to see you guys and hopefully it won’t be as long till we get to go it again!

megan and mason

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending some time with megan and mason. Megan contacted me last week to arrange for some pictures of the two of them but with mason’s crazy schedule, trying to combine free time with decent weather in November was going to be tricky. It all came together yesterday…Mason had an hour to spare and perfect fall weather was on the forecast, so we met up in the late afternoon for a quick couple’s session.

Megan and Mason are two of the sweetest people I have had the opportunity to photograph and they compliment each other so perfectly!

Megan….thanks so much for the awesome afternoon and Mason….can’t wait for you to get back on the ice and scoring some goals again!

jackson celebrates 1 year

Today I was lucky enough to capture the “so adorable it should be criminal” Jackson as he celebrates 1 year. I first shot Meredith and Tony’s wedding several years ago (remember the amazing beluga shot?) and then got to be the one to snap the first pro shots of Jackson as he made his debut. Now 1 year later….wow how time flies! I got to play around with the adorable family for a few hours. Meredith warned me that jackson was not one to sit still so I may have my work cut out for me but he was quite the opposite and posed like a pro!

I can’t wait to see him as he grows! You have a future lady killer on your hands!
